Member-only printables + optional bound books

Printable materials & workbooks

Many homeschool families prefer paper to a screen, especially for younger children. The Learning Nest gives you both options: print every lesson page at home from your membership, or buy a bound workbook from the shop. Either way, the page your child holds matches the lesson on the dashboard — day for day.

Print at home — included with your membership

Every worksheet, practice page, quiz, assessment, lesson plan, and tracker is available inside the member dashboard as a clean, printer-friendly PDF. There are no random ads, watermarks, or surprise paywalls inside the document — just the page your child needs, sized for standard letter paper.

What you can print from your membership:

  • Daily lesson worksheets for every subject, Grades 1–8.
  • Subject workpages and skill-practice sheets.
  • Quizzes, unit tests, and answer keys.
  • Attendance grids, gradebook pages, and reading logs.
  • Progress note templates and quarterly report cover sheets.
  • Portfolio cover sheets, subject dividers, and work-sample labels.

Print exactly what you'll use today, or print a whole week on Sunday night. Some families print a quarter at a time and three-hole-punch it into a binder; others print page by page as they go. There's no wrong answer.

Printables are member-only and are not distributed as free public downloads. This keeps our scope and sequence intact and makes sure every printable is part of a complete, coherent curriculum — not a stray PDF on the internet.

Optional bound workbooks — for families who prefer paper

For each grade and core subject, we also offer bound workbooks in the shop. They follow the exact same scope and sequence as the digital lessons, so a child on Day 47 of the Grade 3 math workbook is also on Day 47 of the Grade 3 math dashboard. Switching between the workbook and the screen is seamless — no two versions of the curriculum to reconcile.

Bound workbooks are nice when:

  • You'd rather not run a small print shop at home.
  • One child will use the workbook for an entire school year (cost-per-page is usually cheaper than printing once you factor in ink).
  • You want a tidy, durable, lay-flat book on the table.
  • You travel or homeschool on the go and prefer a screen-free option.

Mix and match freely

Many families use a hybrid approach: bound workbook for reading and math, print-at-home for science and social studies, and screen for art and music. Because every format traces back to the same lesson plan, your grades, attendance, and quarterly report card stay accurate no matter which way the work was done.

When a child completes a printed page, the parent simply opens the matching lesson on the dashboard and marks it complete (and, if the page is a quiz, enters the score). That single click logs attendance, updates the gradebook, and — if the page is portfolio-worthy — lets you snap a photo and add it to the digital portfolio.

What's in the shop

The shop sells optional physical goods only — bound workbooks, textbooks, planners, tracker binders, grade books, and portfolio binders. Nothing in the shop is required: everything you need to teach is already in your membership. Read more on the shop page and our recordkeeping guide.

A note on PDFs and copyright

Member printables are licensed for personal homeschool use within your immediate family. Please don't redistribute them, post them publicly, sell them, or share login credentials. Our small team can only keep printables free of ads and free of clutter if members respect that simple boundary.
