Our story

Parents deserve peace of mind.

Homeschooling is brave, beautiful work. But "what did we actually cover this week?" shouldn't keep you up at night. The Learning Nest gives back your evenings — and your records.

Why we built it

Great curriculum. No proof it happened.

There are wonderful free curriculums out there. But almost none of them tell you how it went.

No grades. No attendance log. No portfolio. No progress notes if your district ever asks.

So parents juggle printables, sticky notes, and spreadsheets — hoping it adds up to "proof" at the end of the year. We've lived that. We built The Learning Nest so other families don't have to.

Clear about the fit

What we are — and what we're not

We are
  • A curriculum and recordkeeping platform for grades 1–8
  • A place to teach, track, grade, and document at home
  • A quarterly report PDF you can hand to your district
We're not
  • A public school, charter, or umbrella program
  • An accredited private school
  • A stand-in as your child's school of record

Who it's for

A secular platform for grades 1–8

We're growing on purpose, one grade at a time, so every year gets the care it deserves.

  • First-time homeschoolers who want a gentle on-ramp
  • Longtime homeschoolers ready to consolidate tools
  • Working parents who need work kids can do independently
  • Parents of neurodivergent learners who love steady structure

What "secular" means here

Warm, welcoming, and worldview-neutral

We cover the academics and leave faith formation to your family. Add your own worldview studies on top — we won't get in the way.

  • Reading, writing, math, science, and social studies
  • Art, music, PE, life skills, and social-emotional learning
  • No religious instruction baked in — add your own on top
  • Families of every faith (or none) are welcome
